Epi-center of August 9th event at Nagasaki.

NAGASAKI visit: Photos 1 and 2 were taken immediately after Nagasaki bombed on Aug. 9 1945. Portrays what appears to be total destruction of the area and the two camphor trees. Visited Nagasaki and the two Camphor trees in March 2002. Amazing that these two trees survived and grew immensely and are healthy today. THEY NEVER GAVE UP. As I stood alongside them and reflected back I had the feeling we had much in common- THREE SURVIVORS.

Visited with and spoke to group of folks in Peace Park in Nagasaki in March 2002. Some were there on August 9, 1945.
